Being an architectural remodeling proposal to transform the old building with unfinished construction, into a cultural equipment in accordance with safety standards and accessibility.
The project was developed in partnership with the Brazilian offices VMAA - Vasco de Mello Arquitetos Associados, and PPMS - Pedro Paulo de Melo Saraiva, with the participation of Arthur de Macedo in the architects' team.
Integrated with the activities of the Ilhabela Exhibition Center, the Convention Center project is implemented on the opposite side of the avenue.
Consisting of three articulated blocks, its program features different functions such as: Auditorium, Theater, Café, Administrative Sector, Meeting Rooms, in addition to a Panoramic Terrace.
A metallic structure arch and the façade shading system confer unity to the complex and guarantee a volumetric dialogue with the surroundings.
