2015

Located on the north coast of São Paulo, the project is part of the Reurbanization Plan for Road and Waterfront Sections for the municipality of Ilhabela. The new structure provides for the rehabilitation of existing equipment such as sports courts and soccer fields, as well as the construction of new urban mobility, business, and cultural facilities.

The project was developed in partnership with the Brazilian offices VMAA - Vasco de Mello Arquitetos Associados, and PPMS - Pedro Paulo de Melo Saraiva, with the participation of Arthur de Macedo in the architects' team.

Located at the southern head of the former airfield, the Exhibition Center is destined for exhibitions and commercial events, a restaurant, and an intermodal terminal for maritime and land transportation.

To meet the multifunctional program, a transversal axis divides the activities, serving as a public passage and access to internal activities. On one side is the ticket office for the intermodal terminal with a restaurant on the mezzanine, and on the opposite side the double height exhibition space.

Designed with diagonal arches of legal laminated wood, which serves as a structure and casing, covered with triangular modules of thermoplastic blanket, altered with membrane. The shading system is carried out with wooden bars to defining the building's façade, a situation that guarantees the integration between the internal and external environments.
